About RONE Iron
RONE Iron does in one step what used to take four plugins and an afternoon. Drop a vocal on it and it flattens the voice to the note you pick (the formants stay, so it still sounds like a person), slices it into one-shot chops on its transients and lays them out on your MIDI keys, rings every chop through a comb tuned to that note so the voice turns to metal, and pans each chop to its own side so the hits jump from one speaker to the other.
That is the chopped, metallic, left-right vocal of psytrance and festival drops - in tune with your track, from any acapella, in seconds. Play it from the piano roll, or press GROOVE and Iron writes a 16th-note pattern on your tempo from 16 researched rhythms; DRAG MIDI drops it into your piano roll as notes. Turn on ARP and the chops become a melody over a chord; turn on MIDI NOTE and the octave under the chops changes the note while the groove plays.
Fifteen presets set the whole sound - the metal, the fades, the pans, the notes and the groove - and four macros, METAL, CHOP, SPACE and MOTION, move it into a drop. Lock the controls you like and they stay put while you audition presets.
What it does
Drop a vocal, get an instrument
Any WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3 or OGG up to 60 seconds: flattened to one note with the formants kept, sliced on its transients (SMALL, MEDIUM or LARGE) and mapped to your keys. The vocal is stored in the project.
Metal tuned to your note
A comb whose first notch is the note itself, so the ring is always in key. IRON sets how much metal, RING how long it rings, FADE OUT how short every chop is.
Every chop on its own side
AUTO PAN rolls a pan for every chop: PING-PONG alternates hard left and right in the order the hits play, SPREAD and WIDE scatter them. Drag any chop's pan by hand.
A groove that writes itself
GROOVE plays a 1- or 2-bar 16th-note pattern on the host tempo. 16 researched patterns, REROLL with history, per-step on/off, locks and chop choice, 1/32 rolls - and DRAG MIDI into the piano roll.
A melody from one voice
ARP gives every chop a note of your chord or scale, UP, DOWN, UP-DOWN or FOLLOW, with one tuned comb per note. MIDI NOTE lets your left hand change the note live.

IGNITION or any preset: automate CHOP and MOTION up over the last eight bars and METAL in the last two, then snap them back to zero on the downbeat - the sound returns exactly to the preset.

Turn on ARP, light the notes of your scale and pick FOLLOW: the chops keep the singer's melody but snap to your key. UP or UP-DOWN turns them into an arpeggio across the speakers.
